About this program
Dankook University (단국대학교) runs a 13-day International Winter School (IWS) for students from around the world. (details from a partner university notice).
The academic part is a Korean language course worth 1 credit, with an official transcript. Cultural activities include a 2-day ski camp, an amusement park, kimchi making, K-pop dance, the NANTA musical and a Seoul tour.
The program is at the Jukjeon Campus and around the Seoul area, and students stay in the on-campus dormitory. The program fee covers tuition, housing and scheduled cultural activities. Students from Dankook partner universities can get a USD 100 scholarship.
You must get the right visa yourself. If your country is in Korea's visa waiver program, you need a K-ETA instead of a student visa. Otherwise, Dankook can give documents for a D-2-6 or D-2-8 visa.

How to apply
- Create an Email ID on Dankook's online application platform, using the link on the Apply page.
- Log in, go to International Programs (Int'l Summer/Winter School), fill in 'Personal Information' first, then the rest of the application.
- Upload a recent color photo (JPEG, max 2MB) and a scan of your passport information page (PDF or JPEG, max 5MB). A proof of enrollment from your university is optional.
- Your name must match your passport exactly. Applications are not reviewed until all documents are uploaded.
- You get a fee invoice by email. Pay by Flywire or wire transfer, then you get a payment confirmation or acceptance letter.
